Celebrate Cantor Galina Makaveyev’s recent rabbinic ordination at the Jewish Spiritual Leader’s Institute along with Shabbat Across America at Temple Israel on Friday, March 1st.  

We start with a complimentary Shabbat dinner from Lido Deli at 6:30pm and continue with our 7:30pm service to recognize our Cantor’s remarkable accomplishment and to join with hundreds of synagogues across the continent to take part in an historic national Jewish event to celebrate what unifies all Jews: Shabbat! For 28 years now, the National Jewish Outreach Project has quarterbacked Shabbat Across America, it is now a truly Temple Israel tradition.
