Embracing Reform Judaism,

116 Years of Empowered by Tradition,

6 Generations Strong

Inspire through purpose, be known by care - that is our congregational Sh'mah, the watchword of our sacred community.

Empowerment, purpose, care and support - these are the goals of every gathering, every service, every effort we make.  Whether in our worship committee or our Board of Trustee meetings, every experience at Temple Israel has the mission of fulfilling Sh'mah.

Temple Israel is a great place to explore your spiritual yearnings and deepen your Jewish identity.  Our promise is that your Temple Israel family will help you explore life's big questions, provide comfort during life's great challenges and bring joy to every family's simcha - celebration.  Never hesitate to reach out to our clergy, staff, or lay leaders.  All are here to assist you in any aspect of the extraordinary and miraculous spiritual journey that we call "LIFE".

Since 1908, Temple Israel has been a proud Reform congregation serving the Five Towns and beyond.  Well known for our exquisite Spanish-style domed sanctuary built in 1930, our sacred community is both deeply caring and committed to the practice of Tikkun Atzmi and acts of Tikkun Olam, healing and transfoming ourselves and our world.

As a engaging congregation, we embrace spiritual practices that nourish the  heart, mind, and body, promoting the flourishing of all individuals.  Our aim is to uplift and empower every generation, providing them with meaning and purpose.
