Congregational Choir

We encourage everyone who is passionate about Jewish music and loves to sing to join us. Your participation presents a unique opportunity for an uplifting experience of singing together. In addition to sharing the creation of music and reflecting on the meaning of liturgical pieces, choir is a fun way of expanding Hebrew vocabulary and making new friends.

Our Congregational Choir was created in October 2007. Since its formation, our talented members lead "Shabbat Services in Song" once a month and participate in special services and events. Music presented by the group has a variety of Jewish traditional, liturgical and popular compositions. During this time our dedicated Soul Singers learned a great number of melodies of Ashkenazi and Sephardic origins, old and modern tunes.

We meet on second and fourth Thursdays of the month and rehearse from 7:30PM-8:30PM. Please Contact Cantor Galina Makaveyev, our choir leader, to join our intergenerational Congregational Choir and bring in your talents if you play an instrument. Your musical contribution brings joy and energy to our worship and is always appreciated.
